I have just fitted FMF pipes.,Motor is ported but still running standard carbs with jet conversion.
After a good howling the pipes are turning bluey/ Purple on the first section of the pipes. Is this a standard shout with these pipes or not.
I am pleased with the performance increase / Not so pleased with melting the plastic on the front of my new SIDI Boots!!!!!

 

Yea, my FMF's tuned blue on the right side almost immediatly, but it seems to be normal. Both pipes have blued evenly now, and they dont seem to be getting any bluer. This last trip, i melted my leg on the pipes, so keep wearing your boots! BTY, I love the sound and performance of my FMF's, they rock!
