can any one tell me if an advance ignition conversion plate is worth fitting to a ported and piped Banshee....I have recently read an American ATV magazine... Holly mackeral.. you guys just dont know when to stop... Am I the only poor guy in the world that owns a Banshee, I could sell my house and still not have enough cash to fit all those mods on that you can buy...

poorboy,
Looking to save money on that timing plate? Buy an offset magnito key instead. Mine cost $20 for a 4deg key. Vito's performance something or rather sells them (check dirtwheel ads). Works great!

Ignition advance will definetly increase throttle response and bottom to mid. I run a complete aftermarket ignition, but I have friends who have actually ground out the mounting holes in the stock plate and made it to where you can advance it slightly. You can only get about 4 degrees with this, and you should be very careful. I really would rather see someone spend the money and buy a plate. Want to se some super modified bikes? Cut and paste my site in the address window.

If you have a tool to hold the magnito(while you take the nut off), then it will be the easiest mod you've ever done (15 minutes maybe?). It even comes with instructions, so you don't retard your timing 4deg! -hehe
