Yes it does thats how my friend rides. I reccomend it because they both save ur life. The mule camelbak is the best in my opinion.

Some wear it under, some over, I don't find it comfortable to have my camelback under my protector during a race, seems to steal the comfort of the chest protector away. But there is a lot of cord to sinch up on that camelback, it will go over anything, even if you are too big for a chest protector. Oh yeah, and if you crash, land on your back...that camelback is nice and squishy...ahhh, water shocks!

ya,,most of the backpack..camelpacks..they make low profile to fit under or over your chest protecter..I prefer mine to be on the outside of my protector..I think it feels better

Just depends on what model Camelbak you get. I got a kinda big one so I can use it as a backpack when needed, and it holds 2 liters of water as well. No way I would put it under the chest protector, too big. Others I could see fitting though.

I just got a small style & permanantly mounted the pack to the outside of the back of the chest protector, to eliminate the extra straps & such
