I am wanting to buy a perfomance kit for my 1998 Big Bear 4X4. I want to know if the gains you recieve is worth it. Also, if I buy the parts separate, I can save about $80. Any advice

BUYER BEWARE!! I had a 1998 Big Bear and bought a slew of stuff from Highlifter. They were certain that their Performance Kit was right for my quad among other products they were sure I couldn't live without. Apparently the 1998 Big Bear has a different carb then any other year and Highlifter's vendor sold them a bunch of Jet Kits for 98/99 Big Bears. The kits wouldn't fit the 98 and I had to kick and scream but finally got a credit towards Running Boards from the cost of the jet Kit and kept the IDS Muffler, K&N Filter, and Hot Sparkplug. Better check to be sure the kit will fit your 98, I believe they never got a Jet Kit for the 98.

Good Luck, damguy
