NEED A LOUD EXHAUST
#1
I own a 03 300ex. I want to get a new exhaust. I looked at a couple and am undecided. I want something that it loud, real loud. And something that gives the most performance. I like the hmf slip on and t-4 from pro circuit but i dont know if their loud. Any opinions on wut i should get?

Why do you need a loud exhaust? Remember that certain people/ groups are always looking to close our riding areas and they use any reason they can to justify THEIR cause. Try not to give em any thing else to work with.

why, why why!? Loud is what gets ATVers a bad reputation. There are plenty of pipes to extract maximum performance that don't blow your eardrums out. Sound does NOT equal power. Get something that will keep people in your riding area happy with you and our sport PLEASE!

I ride on private land so the sound wouldnt be an issue. I just want a exhaust that has the deep throaty sound. compared to the stock that i have anything would be loud. I do want something that gives most performace. Does anybody know about the t-4 from pro circuit or hmf slip ones? are they good performace wise on the 300ex?

Well Loud Exhaust. . . Take your muffler off, then find a pipe that will fit in your exhaust header pipe. Then take that pipe and weld a washer at the end and then put iron wool inside(not much) and weld another washer at the other end make sure the washer closest to the motor is just a little smaller diameter than the pipe and the one at the very end is half as small. You may want to put a few screws through the pipe in front and behind the steel wool, so it doesn't blow out or suck in. I done this to my bayou and it is loud and sounds good. Sorry for th post if you are a proffesional about it, just saving you money. Oh and if you do make the pipe you will need to make a braket to hold it. If you have access to a welder it is a 1 hour project.
