i feel bad to say this to a fellow suzuki rider but: you post a topic and then run and hide, no responce? huh. i know people who have started there racing on a blaster, and kept building it out to make is quicker and more nimble, so before you rain on their parade mabey you should think( not everyone can afford a 5600$ z or something in that ranger) a 2900$ blaster can say get a set of elkas and a bb kit, and be very competitive, and still have money left over to get parts, or something for the gf or wife. imho it is all a matter of opinion, lets get along and keep it to ourselves.

I didn't see where he wrote that there was anything wrong with not having the fastest quad out there. I think your missing the point. If you keep riding a Mojave you will never have even one of the fastest quads and any $ you spend on the mojave is $ that could have gone towards a faster quad which in the long run would have put you a lot farther ahead of your buddies. Ive had a 86 LT230, 86LT250,91LT250 and a 87 LT500 the only one I bought any performance parts for is the LT500 becuse there is no bigger Quad to move up to. Had I spent $s modding up all those quads I would not have been able to buy the LT500 and I would be riding a slower quad now.

Some people can't go out and spend $7,000 on a "cool" quad.........Spending $2,000 on a quad and dumping $1,000 into it, and getting the most you can out of it makes more sence to me. I have less that $500 into my trike and will dust most of these quads anyway (not top end though)[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

i like my fourwheeler there arent many other fourwheelers out there that i like i think the only other that i like is the raptor660 and i am far from having the money to buy one. i must say i have alot into my bike money wise and i am still going..

well not everybody pays 7,000 bucks on there quad, that would get you a 450R or YFZ450... I only payed 4K for mine. just look harder. I just hate it when people hop up there blasters, mojaves, 250exs, z250 lakota sport and stuff. you guys who hop up your smaller quads probably have about as much money into your quad as a stock z400 or 400ex. then you all whine how manufactures don't make something for your quad. and you whine about how to make it faster and then you get some stuff for it then say you can beat anything

I'm tryin not to be rude.
some people cant afford that iether, I cant get a job cause of labor laws but I do work like yard work and stuff but if I just relied on that it would take me years to get a enough money. so while I'm saving I hop up my blaster a little so it's not as boring. I only spent about $500 on all this.

with that I can keep up with most stock sport quads.
and the new engine I got in it only cost about $30 for everything, and now I will smoke most slightly modded sport quads so theres a excuse. and I'm sure no one will mod a small quad if they have the money to buy a bigger 1. and theres alot of excuses why poeple do it. what if someone was lookin at buyin a stock z for 4k and they saw a blaster that had port work, pipe,shaved head, ya know the usual mods and a nitros kit, for 2.5k alot cheaper and very capable of beating the z. or mabe he's like racing gncc and was only 15 so he had to race a bike under 400cc so he hopped up his blaster and raced that.
heres a few reasons why poeple might hop up there smaller at's.

And you are exactly the reason why I ride a blaster. I find it fun having a smaller quad like a blaster and modding it to he11 and going out and smoking all you other real cocky people. Its more fun this way and when I get my bike finished then you won't even be able to touch me on that, and your telling me its a non-performance quad??? haha give it up dude.
