Banshee reeds
#7
Unless You have porting, reed spacers or updated cages....I would stick with stock reeds..
Even though the banshee is a powerhouse...It has a relatively low amount of vaccuum in the reed area. After numerous tries/ attempts/ swaps etc. I have yet to see enough of an advantage gain with other than stock reeds. Especially if you plan on using the stock cages. Now it's a different story if you are running a rad or ram valve etc.

I was just saying that I have not seen a big enough improvment anywhere to justify the cost of some of the aftermarket reeds.
For me...Just a matter of changing reeds did nothing....No noticable difference....But I never did have a problem with throttle response.
I guess all engines respond differently to mods. I know that when I went back to the stock reeds...thats where I saw the most improvement. If you talk to most performance shops...(as long as they are not hard up for cash) They should be able to explain why the banshee in stock form can have trouble with High tension reeds...
Glad things worked out for you.
