250r rad valve

Default 250r rad valve

im taking my R apart for a rebuild aand an hd tranny and when i took my intake boot off i broke my reed cage and my few pedals of a v-force reeds. im thinking of upgrading to a rad valve, does any one have one? know how it compared to the normal reed setup?

sorry about the spelling before, it was a long 420

I have one, run the v-force. the boisen rad valve is a smaller diameter. I have one

crazy- have you considered g3 powercurve reeds. there was a post on the yamaha threads about them. Most everyone on there said they were the best they had ever tried. I bought some for my 250r but sold it before ever putting them on. check out 1dirracing.com they show a flow comparison between their reeds and the other two big companies. pm me if interested in them mine are still NIB

Rad valves have a little more bottom and less top, and vise verser for the v-froce. Have you considered ESR's reed cage. Its supposed to be like a v-force only more reliable.

im looking for more bottom end power
and what about modifying it to have more diameter?
