I am getting a 400EX soon and will be riding with my frineds with pretty nice quads. I ant a quad that will be a contender with them. Is there any fairly inexpensive mods for the 400EX (dont have much money, in school)[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

1st off, K&N Filter and pipe. You need these things[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] after, if you save money, you can get into better mods. I dont like to stock 400EX bars, so you should buy some Renthals or Tag X2 or whatever in place of them. Also, you should get some Nerf bars for it. I hope i helped you out some.....later.

Yeah, what he ^^^ said exactly. Filter and pipe if first, add some nerfs and maybe some bars - then if you want to do more you can think about sprocket changes, tires or even getting into the motor with a new cam and piston.

 

exhaust....air filter....dyno jet....tires....nerfs.....handlebars....<--- the basics lol...none of them are REALLY expensive

worth the $$. Depending on what type you get of each thing, it will be made to give power to different places in the power, so you really cant explain

Yeh I have a freind that wants to do some mods to his 400 ex. After I blew him away with my YFZ. What would he have to do so it would keep up with mine?

 

is it stock? what has he done to it, and what have you done to your YFZ?
