Okay, I finally caved-in and decided to up-grade my ole stock Banshee. So, I bought a kit that consists of: Pro Circuit platinum pipes & silencers, Boyessen power reeds, billet reed spacers, boost bottle & 280 main jets. I also got a Pro Design Pro-Flow adapter w/K & N filter & outerwear.

Background info: Motor is completely stock right now and the ATV is run 100% of the time in the sand @ sea level. Also air lid will not be used.

Questions: Based on info & parts above, will the 280 main jets work okay? Will my stock Pilot jets work allright or will they need to be a different size?, If so what size?. Any advise from people who have "been there, done that" would be a big help.

Thanks a bunch..........

Well first you will need to get some 30/32.5 pilot jets... a new needle... and probably a 300 main jet. I have almost the same setup on my Banshee except I have FMF pipes and silencers.

Dune Pilot, did you try running your Banshee with the stock Pilot Jets and needles first? If so how did it run? I would think changing the Pilot jets would be the more noticable change over changing the needles. Let me know more about what you changed, steps, parts added Etc and how your Banshee preformed.

Thanks, Rude Dog

Dont forget to syncronize your carbs after you put on your pipes

Okay, I picked up a set of 30 Pilot Jets and a set of 300 Mains yesterday. I plan on installing everything over the weekend. I didn't get any other type of needles yet. I figure I will put everything on and try it with the stock needles first. Has anyone ran their ATV with the stock needles and then switched to an after market type. If so was there a noticable difference? or was it minimal???

Thanks, Rude Dog

It's typically not a "WOW" type change, but often different needles can help eliminate "flat" spots within the power curve. Installed Toomey needles to replace the stockers and it felt crisper. IMHO worthy of changing.

Ahhhh... Backcountry, I was sure hoping you'd jump in on this topic and leave some of your vast knowledge.

If the stock needles are used, any idea as to whether the stock clip setting will work or will I need to move it?

Thanks, Rude Dog
