It is usually cheaper to buy a quad with stuff on it already, however if you build it, then it will be exactly how you want it vs. someone else. If you are a decent mechanic and shop around for parts (ebay) you can make a real nice budget quad.
I like doing the work to my quad that way I know its been done right and not half a$$.
Some people hesitate when buying a quad with lots of extra parts on it because they think it has been burnt.
if u buy a prebuilt quad from alba, or ne other big name company, your garunteed that it has quality work put into it. however, to buy a stock quad and modify it, is gonna cost a lot.
I agree with 123, I bought mine for $500... It was beat up pretty bad, but one year and $3100 later, I got a real nice bike. And also as Shavo stated it cant be "burnt" but so bad. ---- I vote, BUILD!
It depends. If your going to keep the stock motor in it then try to find one with good suspension (aftermarket arms axle and shocks) and youl save some money.
