I just bought a '92 LT250R and was wondering...what is the little sight glass for located right below the cylinder on the clutch side of the motor? I did all the maintenance, tossed the airbox lid and got the clip and jets right...wow this thing screams compared to my Blaster. I find myself sliding to the rear of the seat with my arms extended all the way by the time I get to 3rd gear. Anyone have any suggestions on setting the suspension...I'm 6'0 200lbs., ride trails and fast bumps across pasture land.

Sounds to me like a site glass for the tranny oil...But I'm just guessing. Seems like I've seen them on Blasters too?

No, it's actually above the crankcase level. It's in front of the cylinder, below where the exhaust attaches.

Yes that is the power or exhaust valve what ever you want to call it. it opens and closes the exhaust at certain rpms if you bike runs great as you siad don't play with the valve
