Hey can anyone help I have a 87 250r with an FMF pipe and sneaker silencer and a Banshee with Toomey T-5s + hush kit.With fresh packing both will not pass sound check I used the loose packing and I wounder if there is a right and Wrong type of packing?I plan on going to SandFest 11-13 at Windchester bay but if they will not pass I cant ride any info would be great.

From everything I have seen and heard the limit at Oregon dunes is 93db.So basically stock exhaust or you wont be riding.I know I wont be taking my quads up there when I visit family next time.Oh well.

 

oregon laws are tuff..but for sandfest things are going to a be a lil slack.. or thats the way its been in the past?.. i ride a atc 250r lrd pipe silencer.. i know its over the limit.. ive never had it checked or been stopped..lucky?..or maybe i dont ride past the cops doing a big 3rd gear roost?.. not saying you guys do either..weve even gone as far as sending the mighty blaster(stock pipe) out ot the trail head to see if they were waiting....but point is if you dont draw attention to yerself they wont mess with ya..

 

last year at sandfest they did not sound check.and i heard this year they will not either because of the competition racing.and that pipe and silencer you got from my brother, when he had it checked it was at 90 decibils. see ya at sandfest

 

Hey thanks all I just Received an E-mail from Toomey Racing and they told me you must use the proper packing So I will order some on monday and let you all know how well it works.

Hello, I'm new to the board. Just bought a 01 banshee and have T5's with FMF silencers.

Got tested on Saturday at Florence, OR. I hit 90.
The limit is 93 with 2db tolerance, so 95 tops.
