Default raptor porting and pistons

I am starting to port my raptor and want to know if cutting my valve guides down to match the port side is bad or good, I have been told that it is good only if you use oversized valves to make up for less support. I also have a hotcam stage 1 and want to put a good high compression piston in and was wondering what you thought, thanks

If you are asking to trim the guide down even with the roof of the port; it is good for power, bad for life. Helps more with power, than bad for the guide, so I would go for it. They just wear a little faster thats all. No big deal. Have fun with the grinder.
