Rocky Ridge......Major Disappointment
#1
Hey guys,
I promised to keep everyone informed on my project 350rx I started last year.
Well, last September I sent my 86 250r frame to Ken at Rocky Ridge Racing to have the proper mods done to it to put my 350x motor in it. When I first sent it to him, he said it would take about 3 months to complete. Well after three months I called him and he hadn't started it yet. So I came here to ask opinions about Ken and Rocky Ridge. Everyone had about the same answer, he does good work, but has a slow turn around time. I did take everone's advice and started calling him periodically to see how much he had advanced in my project. Ken kept giving excuses as to why he hadn't finished and I kept waiting patiently. More and more time went on. Finally about three weeks ago I started calling everyday. I told him I needed my chassis because I had already missed several events I could have taken my quad to. Then finally he told me he sent it UPS last week. It arrived today almost a year later UNTOUCHED. I am actually not really mad, but very very disappointed.
The worst part about the whole thing is being lied to. If he didn't want to do it, he should have told me from the start and I would have made other plans. On top of that he told me that he was selling out and not going to do any more rx conversions. I called this morning after the chassis arrived to question him about it. A girl answered and said he out getting a haircut so I called this afternoon and a guy answered that sounded like Ken. The guy that answered said that Ken's last day was yesterday (Tuesday). So I asked the guy what I was supposed to do. He said he would call me back. I do not expect a call.
The number is (270) 259-9604 and will be removed from my address book.
Thanks for reading.

Sorry to hear that Brad_L. I have always wanted to do this conversion but where do you go to get work done like this? There was a post on the Tech Connection on June 23 that stated Wm. C. Davy Co. in Cumberland, Maryland used to do these. His number was listed as (301)759-9443. He used to run an ad in the back of Dirt Wheels so you may look at one to see if he still does it. I hope you get to complete your project.

you should contact laegers they will do it in house with a short turn around time or they can send you the mounts and dimensions and have your local machine shop install them(or have a local machine shop make the mounts)this is really a simple conversion
