CR250 powered 250R?
#1
Has anyone successfully put a CR 250 motor in a 250R chassis? What was the ballpark cost? ( Not including the CR 250 motor.) Any companies that specialize in these type of conversions? Thanks for any info.

...Why not just purchase( if you don't have one )
a trx motor? The CR motor is a backwards-kick motor (if memory serves me right?) and you will hit the plastic every time you try to start it. Also the bottom-end gearing is set up for a bike's rear wheel diameter and will adversely affect final drive gearing on the quad. There are a good number of sources to find trx motors like kandkatv.com's used parts page, East coast atv, and others. I would recommend using the trx vs. the CR motor for these among many other reasons.
