400EX motor in a 300EX?

Default 400EX motor in a 300EX?

hey...saw a motor on ebay..400EX motor..bored to 440cc....had tons of hop ups...had like 50+ hp...used 100octane or higher gas....will this work on a 300EX? thanks for info....lata!

That much hp in a 300ex frame would get you killed, it just doesn't have the suspension or the right handling charactoristics to handle that power. The 400 ex frame is set up a lot better, you would need to do some major mods to your 300 to get it to handle the torque and speed you would get from a motor like that. Plus the extra welding to get the motor to mount in there in the first place.

I think your frame would hold up fine. sounds like a good idea to me.

i was talking about adding a 400ex ,raptor, or 250r motor in my 250x because it would be chaper then buying a new quad but i kinda want to stick to the honda motor i think the frame can handel it if it isnt bent or cracked suspesion would help but id go for it

and its a 440 it will FLY!

some people jsut have to be party poopers. i think that would be really cool to drag so guy with a huge ego and beat his pants off with some 300ex. then you tell about the motor [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

hey, try it, you can always upgrade the chassis if there's a problem later. If they can put that much hp in a banshee chassis, a honda's no problem!!

trust me i know what it's like to have too much power for the frame, and it's not a big deal. The scrambler frame and suspension is terrible.
