Default suggestions for a woods/xc 400ex (???)

hey guys, i'm planning on making my ex into the ultimate woods machine... with a budget of +/- $5000 over the next two years or so, as i make the money. If you were doing this project, what parts would you buy and install and why? I'm just looking for some advice so that I have a better chance of doing it right the first time. Thanks a bunch, and I lookin forward to see what you've got for ideas......

If you want a woods quad don't get a big bore 440. Geta 416 with high compression and then stroke it to a 440. You would have so much more torque than. I have ridden 89mm 440 and although some have more "power" then my stroker none have the "torque. Torque is your friend in the woods, right behind reliability. The bigger the bore the more problems that can come up.

That is my opinion on that. I wear out grips faster than grip glue can dry, so my motor must pull pretty good.
