what do u guys think, im looking for some more low end, i have procircuit pipes and a k+n with the pro flow adapter, i race on mx tracks, dont wanna run race gas yet.. shave the head 20 thou. untill i get a powerhead???? all opinions appreciated...also, should i lighten the fly wheel or play with ignition timing??????

hey man...i had my head shaved 50 tho..and i still run pumped gas...has alot of low end and it halls a@@..i would do it if i were u..make sure it is somebody u trust....to do the work..good luck...

Ohton Racing shaved 80 thousandths of mine and I still run 92 octane fuel.

You can shave 70-80 thou off a stock head. After that you end up breaking through the water jacket. Then just cut into the dome 10 thousandths to get the necessary squish clearance. It will only bring you up to about 160lbs compression so you can still run pump gas.

i sent it away to get 20 thou taken off, should i get more? by the way im buying a raptor for motocross, what do u guys think, love the 'shee but i used to own a '88 250r and LOVED the way it handled compared to the 'shee.. hoping to have my blk/white raptor in a month or so {i work at a yamaha shop} thx for the replies guys>> im new at posting here been reading forum for about 5-6 months now...
