I have an 05' scrambler 500 HO, basically stock still. I did put a K&N filter on it, but that is it so far. I was just clocked on radar at 70 on a slight up hill road. I am on a tight budget, but I am looking at spendind $200 max first then another $200 in a few months. What would be the first things to add for more power/speed?

 

A performance exaust system.

 

Got any suggestions on which one would be better? I usually hear people talking about a specific type of pipe depending on the jetting they do and other mods. I didn't think it would make that much difference, if I buy a good pipe, then a good jet kit I should be fine right?
