EAR Exhaust
#4
The EAR is a Supertrapp exhaust and I believe they still make it for some applications. It was designined off of their 4 inch exhaust and is interchangeable with the regular 4 inch silencer. The EAR is much quiter and a little more restrictive than the regular silencer. After about 10 or 12 discs the max flow inernally is reached and adding more disc does nothing. the head pipes on most EAR systems is the same as the standard 4 inch system. HP will be increased but not as much as with the louder standard 4 inch silencer. Power at low to mid however is about the same. The EAR meets most noise requirments and is spark arrestor approved when the disc are on.

SuperTrapp still makes this pipe. I have the standard racing series model on my Warrior. The EAR is exactly the same silencer except it features a quiet insert. I think these are very well built exhausts. Mine really woke up my Warrior. Probably about 3 hp. Especially bottom end to midrange. No gain on top end. Mine is quite a bit louder than stock but not as loud as many of the other pipes out there. If you get the quieter EAR series you will lose a bit of power over the racing series. Probably not a noticeable amount. Both pipes are called SuperTrapp Aluminum series, they use external disc spark arrestor and aluminum megaphone construction. EAR series is more expensive than racing series. Check them out at www.supertrapp.com.
