Default slip on or full system

My quad is 400 ex 2005. Im thinking put in it, in the next days a HMF pipe, a good foam filter, and hotcam stage 1. No more modifications in the future for the motor of my quad. I ride mainly in rough trails in the woods or mountains. I dont need more velocity, only need great power in low an medium range. For my tipe of rides and the few modifications on the motor,... I must buy the HMF SPORT SERIES SLIP ON(210 DOLLARS) OR THE HMF FULL SYSTEM(430 DOLLARS). ?? What do you think? The inversion in the full system is justifiable? Thanks in advances.

i'd go for the whole pipe. my buddy has a WB slip on for his and he cant get a head pipe for it without buying the whole exhaust
I know some slip ons only fit stock head pipes

Yes I would do the same thing as Mucky said....the full system would be the best.

You might check with the pipe manufacturer on this. Some of the aftermarket full systems are more suited for engines that are built up more than yours will be. If you get a system with a larger head pipe that's tuned for a fairly hot motor you could cost yourself some bottom end power. Just a thought--I don't know on the HMF how theirs are in this respect.

well HMF sells the slip on muffler for 200$, you could get that, see how you like the performance, then if you want get the headers for another 200$, i know the headers and slip-on alighn right up for a full system on a 660R, ask Sweetquads, he knows his stuff. good luck.
