full drag TRX would be cheaper and easier to obtain parts for.

But your average trx in bad shape still goes for almost 3k. You also dont have to extend the engine as much in the banshee to get a certain performance level so your reliablility relative to the same engine stock isnt as bad. I know banshees like to break, but compare built to a stock banshee.

It would be cheaper to upgrade, but not really cheaper to get to a certain performance level.

I always thot it would be fun to run a v-force, with a custom build chrome molly frame, a jackshaft chain drive setup, maybe get the motor stroked, and run alky or a big shot of nitrous
Probably still wouldnt be as fast as alot of drag shees - but it would stand out. And be pretty quick

i've actually heard of a v-force with a chain. i think some desert race team had built it.

i would mod a zilla, or a 250r. banshees are everywhere, do somethin a lil different.

I've been around a few built zillas and even ported a couple to make go fast. Unless you want to spend some big bucks, then stay away from them. Parts are not near as readily available as for the Honda and yamaha. There are fast ones out there, but they wont probably tell you how much it cost to get there.

since the introduction of the sabertooth cylinder. it is quiet apparent, that the 250r is getting much easier to squeeze good power from now. the sabertooth turns your 250r bottom end into a 495cc monster and requires similar case machining to a pro x cylinder. much easier than a stroked banshee that makes comparible power. its almost sickening.

also, member Jaybo from this site is selling an 86 in EXCELLENT condition ported stock cylinder fresh powdercoated frame, aftermarket goodies out the yang...for 3500. go figure.

check it out for yourself

The sabretooth is new to me, thanks for the info. My friends still own and race 2 of my old R's, they will be very interested.
