I think we've gone through this before, but it may have been someone else. Regardless you need to learn how to search. I found 17 threads alone that cited K&N AND Uni in the TITLE. I'm sure I would find dozens more if I searched in the body of the threads as well.

Search.

K&N's are great for on road vehicles that only see clean blacktop roads. They are also great putting more money in engine builders pockets. Search the net, K&N's are a scam.

My buddy used to have the same exact mods I did but with the k&n instead of the foam on the pro design, didn't even make a difference once so ever. The only difference over time (a two or three day weekend to be exact) was the k&n filter on my buddy's warrior was clogged to the point where the bike ran so rich it didn't even want to run out of the bottom end. We both had the outerwears on, but his plugged even in the filter itself. In the meantime mine looked like someone took a big load on it but ran flawless in the end. I would agree the k&n filters are probably a scam outside of track riding, especially when they cost at least $10 more and run less than half the time flawlessly.

TEST - paper vs gauze vs foam

I've had good luck with K&N, but they aren't for all conditions.

Wistech, I have a lot of respect for you and your opinions. Just not this one... I dont think that they are really that much better than any other major brand filter, but they certainly arent really all that much worse either.
