hot cam instalation

Yes it is really is pretty easy. Your best bet is to buy a rebuild manual. Har to mess up if you follow the instructions. Just make sure you take the spring and the plunger out of the cylinder head because the Hot Cams doesn't use the decopression mechanism.

the main part is setting the timing before you pull it all apart. There are two allen head bolt covers on the shifter side of the bike. The lasrger hole is used to turn the motor over after you take off the allen cover i think its like a 12 or 14mm head bolt. Through the other hole you can see the flywheel and as it turns there are marks on it next to one of these marks is a t. The T stand for top dead center on the flywheel you need to make sure that the cam lobes are pointed down when you take the valve cover off or that would men that it is on bottom dead center. other then that its pretty simple the hard part for me was getting feeler gauges in there to set the valves i had to get a special one because none of my angled ones would work. its pretty easy make sure you keep the valve cover bolts in the right holes if you dont you might have a problem getting the right lengths in the right hole.
