WHY??? TTR's are slow.. Put a YZ250 motor in there...And if you can make engine mounts and make up for all the vibration, stick a CR500 motor into it..lol

Heres an idea for you..mount up an XT350 motor. My old 85 yami xt flew...mind you it had a few mods. Unlike the warrior motor, the xt350 motor is dual overhead cam. Lots of low end power, and flew in the straights...just a sugestion

hey "mahnster" its cool i took no offence to it at all, i am just a serious person thats all. meanwhile if i could locate an older XT-350 that might be a good idea. i am still in limbo of what i want to do. i even thaught about now taking my XT-600 powerhouse and slapping it into something like a warrior frame, now talk about fun lol. yet that defeats the purpose of what i want, it would be way to much for tight trails.

here is another thing i thaught of..... if i used one of those quads that uses the blaster frame (ie. kasea skyhawk's, or the other 300 atvs that are based on the same exact blaster frame that is supplied by yamaha anyway) in that case i can accually register the quad as a 4-cycle vehicle and it will be legal to ride in public lands after 2006! hey thanks again for all the suggestions and input weather it was positive or not i appreciate it anyhow!

and i think you guys where right when you said "the TTR idea kinda sucks" it was just a thaught at the time. ill save that engine idea for my other future project (aka. project "Super-Mini")!!!

If you could find a 350x motor that would make a pretty sweet conversion.

sounds like fun, the DT-200 that is. if i had somewhere to ride something like that, i might try it. meanwhile i am in the search for local bike/atv salvage yards in my area. only problem is that 90% of all running engines are yanked out almost as soon as the machine enters the yard. still looking for an engine tho.

so the search is on, i am in search of a frame and a engine so this should get interesting. my friend who has the old blaster that doesnt run, is now going to rebuild it. i offered to buy it but he wants to make it run again, so im helping him with that. now i need to find an old blaster with a blown up, or non-existing engine so i wont have to pay alot. i chose a bad time for this project hence im trying to also find and buy a new(used) quad for the spring to replace my 03 blaster i am selling. oh well ill figure it all out.

hey sounds like tht DT is coming along well! hope it turns out to be as awesome as it sounds!

anyway, im thinking about just getting a used warrior. people around here, or withing driving distance sell them all the time, usually in good condition for alot cheaper than book value. so i think i may go that route instead of the project? now i just need to work on the $$ thing than maybe ill be alright lol!
