has anyone had problems with 100ll gas
#1
as the opening said I can buy 100ll avation gas for $1.02 per liter, or I can buy 91 octane pump gas for 89.9 to 92.9 cents per liter. the guy who would sell me this gas said it is a very hot burning gas but it should be alright for a 2 stroke. with a cool head and the b9es (the cold plug compared to the b8es) plug in an 86 trx250r
would this work I have a thin head gasket to put on in order to bump the compression. advise would be much appreciated.

Forget the Avgas! It isn't blended for use on the ground. Yes, it is 100+ octane but it also has antifreeze ingredients blended in to prevent carburetor icing and fuel line freeze up at altitude. It is NOT a high performance enhancing fuel. Buy fuel blended for ground use and with an octane rating that matches your engines compression.

BansheeBill:
A gas station in Ahwatukee now dispenses Trick Racing Fuel from the pump. I normally use Sunoco Purple (110 leaded octane) in my hopped up Banshee.
Do you know anything about Trick fuel? It would sure be a lot more convinient to use this fuel since it is located near my home.
Thanks.

Don't know anything bad about Trick. Personally, if it were available in my neighborhood I would use it. By the way, can you tell me where you got your carbs polished and the cost? I sent you a few emails awhile back but never got a response. I do believe that you were having some problems with changing you email address here at the Connection.

Bill:
I called around to several chroming/plating/polishing shops and all would do it for about the same price ($30 per carb). They turned out very nice. I removed the idle speed screws and packed the inside of the carbs with sandwich sized zip-lock bags stuffed with paper towels. This kept all of the polishing compound, wheel lint, etc., from entering the carb.
Once I got them back, I cleaned them thoroughly, inside and out, with carb cleaner, bolted them on and away I went!
Yes, my e-mail is not correct in the Forum. I have made many requests to have it changed, without success. I guess the "moderator" pays little attention to the replies. My real e-mail address is listed below.

Dill,
Like so many other members who have switched Internet providers, I have tried changing my e-mail address dozens of times via "profile." It just doesn't work.
And yes, we have tried it dozens of different ways with no success. In fact, it has gotten so bad, several "Threads" have recently discussed this problem and attempted to bring it to the Moderator's attention...with zero success!
