Hello all. I'll get right down to it. I was cleaning my yellow pro-design filter. I use the maxima filter oil which is blue. I started cleanin it with soap and water, but didn't complete it. It sat for a week. I can't get the blue filter oil color out of the foam in a few spots. Did I just stain it by leaving a little of the dissolved filter oil on it?

Thanks,

jason

The Maxima filter cleaner should remove it. It works for me & way easier & better than soap & water

Yeah, no doubt, but much more expensive! I'm trying to figure something out that won't cost me 6+ bucks to clean it every time. Oh well. Thanks for the post, you always post good, sensible stuff.

Use gas.

Many say not too, because it "will eat the foam."
I've been doing it for two years now on the same Uni Filter...and it is fine.
