xr650 quad

yeah, easier to do in a 400ex frame, but still a LOT of cut weld and fab. probabaly be better to go nuts with mods on a 400ex motor. you would also have to adapt a radiator, completely fab an oil tank. not an easy job

Not an easy conversion by far, many months and countless hours of cutting, welding, and fabricating things from scratch. I have a 400 EX also and another XR650 engine that will probably end up in the EX as well, but the conversion doesn't look like it's gonna be much easier than the warrior was.

Well I built the XR650 Warrior before Raptors and DS650's even existed because I was tired of waiting for the Mfg.'s to come up with a 'Big Block' 4-stroke, soon after everything started coming out, but it's nice to have a custom bike anyway and now I have plenty of competition, but I hold my own and run with the best of 'um with my 80's technology motor and just have a good time doing it.
