I was wanting to know the pro's & con's of putting
a 250r w/big bore kit on alcohol when duning...

Also, if you could tell me the name(s) of some
RELIABLE (i.e. know their stuff!) shops that can
set me up w/the proper carb, etc, I would be most
grateful.

Check out ftzracing.com or call them. They are the best at 250r alky conversion. Basiclly, you gain about 10-14hp. You also obtain more duties to preserve the engine. You must flush the egine out with a gas/oil mixture after riding. Alcohol burns twice as fast so you will have to fill more often. Alcohol is cheaper than race fuel. Reliability is retained if jetted correctly. ALcohol is not really a throttle response fuel, i.e. trail riding. Its more suited to wide open throttle runs, though when dialed in perfectly it cna be as crisp as gas.
