Default This is kinda weird. Help!

I have a 05 z400 and i changed the front sprocket. Stock is 14 i believe and i changed it to a 15. I was expecting my top end to be faster but it felt slower. I confirmed this when my buddy clocked me in his car and it was slower than before I put the sprocket on. What would cause this? Tight chain, weather, ???? anything else? thanks for help

just because you have raised your gearing does not always mean you are going to go faster. you need to be able to pull a taller gear. you need more power

The smaller the front sprocket the higher the gearing if you don't change the rear- try a 13. you still need the power to pull it though
