Can a counterbalancer be taken out of an engine???
#1
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with taking the counterbalancers
out of atv engines. I have a 450 Foreman with a 2mm larger piston, high compresion wiseco,
and my counterbalancer gears are making noise (i think) Was considering removing
the balancer and gear off the crank. Wonder how much it would vibrate????
It seems to me that mac dizzy did this on honda 250r's. Any info would be appreciated!

The rod has been replaced and is all trued and ready to go.
I'm still debating weather or not to try this, since it's a major job if i
have to strip it all down again. I doubt there are many people that
have tried this in this engine but i know others have tried it
on other engines.

On this 450 Foreman, I'm pretty sure nothing runs
off the end of the shaft but there might be an oil gallery
there. I guess a guy could just put a frost plug in there though.
