Default pipe pricing

I whent to my local dealer and asked the cost on a slip on pipe for my kfx 400. He said that to get a full system is pointless because all the aftermarket head pipe does is creat more noise. Personally i believe he might be full of you know what. Something i noticed though was that everywhere i look the HMF slip on was a lot cheeper than any other system. Does the HMF just not put out the same power or are they just priced more fairly. Thanks guys.

The head pipe does matter if it is a larger diameter than your stock one. Also, it may be made from a slightly lighter(weight) material.
