Default Exhaust to reduce emissions???

I'm just curious if anyone knows of any more "ecologically friendly" exhausts out there. I'm not too concerned with making my quad faster, just want to put less crap out into the air. Thanks!

Mostly the direction the industry has taken to reduce emissions, has been to eliminate the 2-strokes. You just don't see manufacturers advertising emissions friendly pipes, although many have caught on to the idea that less sound is a positive thing.

With a 4-stroke, I think bike tuning (proper jetting for example) is probably more important than muffler design. I know many manufacturers JET LEAN at the factory to help meet government emissions requirements.

If you really want to get into this, you could put on a small cat. I don't know how small of a cat manufactures make, but I have seen some small ones. Maybe one off of a 3 cylinder GEO metro? Some bikes have them on also, or at least I was told they do.

If you want to see how little you harm the environment air wise with your quad, just look at a 747 on take-off.
