now a lot of money to me and a lot of money to you could be a huge difference. do you plan on installing anything on your own. this summer i have been modding my 400 ex and so far i have gotten a jet kit, k&n filter, and a fmf megamax exhaust. i think you should start by changing the way your warrior breathes. that will run you about $300 if you shop around. then i would think about adding a hot cam to your warrior. those things REALLY wake up the machine. my buddy has a 300 ex with a hot cam and it will smoke a polaris scrambler 500 on take off and top end (due to a smaller rear sprocket). not only that his midrange will keep him a couple quad lengths from me. i realize i dont have a 450r or a yfz 450, but a 300 ex shouldnt even come close to a 400 ex. but his does. just a suggestion though. back to your question i think you should get an air filter, exhaust, and eventually a hot cam. maybe a larger piston. another thing i would do is look into alba performance wheelers and see what they did to thier warrior besides make it a 400.
