You guys may not believe this but since I asked this question initially, I've found a really nice 1984 RZ350 bike complete for about 2400.00 US. I'm not into doing anything to my Banshee but do you think I could make a few bucks by buying it and parting it out?

Hey Holyman,

Isn't it unholy to part out a classic.
Just joking, its not like you are ripping apart a three wheeler.

Yes it is unless someone is going to make their BANSHEE better because of it! Otherwise I wouldn't dream of it.

Do you know if an RZ350 motor will bolt right into a banshee frame? Things look similar as my neighbor has one in his barn. Said i could have it for $300 bucks. Might be a neat little project if it will bolt up ; )

simply put - YES the RZ engine will bolt straight in. Remeber there is a reasonable amount of work setting up custom witirng, installin the powervalve controller etc etc plus a battery. The results are about 55HP stock standard with a decent set of pipes on board and a broad tractable powerband and with serious top end grunt.

Let me know if your neighbour wants to sell the entire bike, I know someone who would be very happy to make the transaction for the entire engine and wiring loom/electrics.
