Im thinking of putting a stage 2 hotcam, high compression piston, and a full lrd system. Is this a good choice?Will a high comp. piston help? Is a stage 2 hotcam worth the extra money for the spring kit since you dont need it for a stage 1?Trying to get the most power and speed without boring. Any other ideas gladly excepted.

unfortunitly the more money you spend the better, bigger is better for cylinder, stage 2 better than stage one. but are you going to race or just weekend riding? if just rec riding stage one for cam. Yoshie system has best air flow but it is not cheap

Maybe you could install bigger valves and do the super polish on the intake and
exoust.
I have orderd a custom make carbon-kevlar swing arm for my e-ton viper150
Majbe you can look for some weight reduction???
Also try to find better gears maybe shorter??

Bayraptor your setup sounds good, but I'd go with a CT, Sparks, or set of LTE duals for pipes. LRD is good, but the others I listed are better. The high compression piston will certainly help, especially when installing a cam and piston together. Stage 1 and piston will give you obscene amounts of low and midrange power, a stage 2 will give you great midrange and top end power while the higher compression piston keeps things strong down low. Head porting will help increase power without boring, it runs about 350-1000 bucks or more depending on application and builder. New carbs will help too, edelbrock is ok for low and midrange power on mild builds but has troubles flowing big cfm for high hp applications. 35mm fcrs provide great throttle response and plenty of top end flow. Edelbrock runs 550-650 and the 35 FCRs run around 700. You can get them cheaper if you buy used, but you also need to consider a new airfilter/box setup.

I take it that your motor is stock now. Unless you do some head work and change to larger carbs, your stage II cam won't reach full potential. I modded mine in small steps and was very happy with the results. First, you're going to have to open the airbox, then add the pipe and rejet. That will make the biggest difference in the 660. After that, the cam and piston can be done. FWIW, the stage I Hotcam is quite nice. I agree with the obscene low and midrange comment, but it still pulls hard on top. With the stock piston, you can run pump gas. Going to higher compression, octane becomes important and it limits how far and where you can ride if you need to use race fuel or octane boost.
With the Raptor, there isn't much gain from a full exhaust over a good slip-on unless you port, carb and big cam the motor. Mine would run right with 450's (not stock) with only the airbox, slip-on White Bros E2 and the Hotcam stage I - jetted with 165/170 mains. I LOVE the E2 silencer. It's quiet - which is important these days - and it will make more hp that many of the other exhausts that are MUCH louder. DW ran a dyno comparison on exhausts a few years ago and believe it or not, the E2 was with 1.5 hp of the top - CT made the most, Sparks wasn't in the test, Looney Tunes wasn't on the market yet, and frankly, I'm a bit skeptical about their design. Anyone with dyno comparisons run on the same dyno, same day, same quad with the LT exhasut along with others - please post.

Sorry maddog but I wouldnt agree with the polish what I am talking about is not
"polish" but more like super finich the best teh. in polish.
I am working custom race cars in Croatia and the Super finish is the best start for car,bike
But if you have diferent exp.OK Maybe you didnt done it well???? You have to know some
of basic laws of aeroflow for example cavitation.
When you polish intake you have to make round ends not sharp.
Sorry if you dont understand me I dont now wery good engl. but I now the tehnology for

What is this all about "basic laws of aeroflow for example cavitation". I know a lot about cavitation when it comes to hydraulics, but never seen it in used in porting theory's..
