Default Yoshimura Exhaust

Hey I was looking at getting a yoshi RS-3 full system for my 400ex is there anything you guys can tell me about this exhaust in general. Some of the questions i have about it are..... is it loud?(because i ride by alot of old people at my cabin) DOes it give a good HP gain? Does it have a nice sound? Is it a good quality exhaust? And fo you know of any problems with the exhaust?

Sorry for all the quesiton I just wanna get the right exhaust for my quad so i dont screw up.

If you are looking at a full system exhaust and are interested in big gains you probably want to go with an LRD system. I believe it provides 5-6 hp on the 400EX when jetted to your settings. I think it is around $400. Yoshimura is way over-rated IMHO. They don't give as good of a gain and the cost over $500 right?

Another "cheap" power getter is from an aftermarket CDI rev box. I have a White Brothers on mine and it works great. Probably only useful with engine mods of a full sytem exhaust though. New ones on ebay go for around $75 or less.

From what I have heard they are too expensive for what they produce in power gains. If you want the most power then they are not the way to go. Based on what you said (only $360) I might be inclined to buy one. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Then again I may spend that little extra and get an LRD system. I am not afraid to tell you that I have no personal experience with the Yoshi's, but rather I am going on what I have heard. I am not bashing them in any way. I am just trying to point you in the right direction in chosing a system. Key word in that last system is "chosing" or choice. It is up to you to decide which way to go. Just thought I would provide you with an alternative.
