hello everyone, im a proud owner of a 2005 honda 400ex. i purchased this machine last summer in july. it took me a while to get used to the power on this machine since i moved up from a 98 yamaha timberwolf 250, 4x4. it was definately a good upgrade. lately i have been wanting more power from my ex. what can people tell me about the 426 kit? what else do i need to do for my ex? i know a port and polish job is in order. roughly how much will a basic(mild?? no clue) P&P job cost? how much will it cost roughly to get this kit installed? i recently put a hot cams stage 1 in my ex, and well as i have gotten grief from everyone on here, i didnt get much of a noticable gain in the HP dept. what kind of HP gains can i expect with this 426 kit. anyone with this kit installed let me know how you like it compared to stock PLEASE!

I run my mega max with 9 discs and with the spark arrestor. i dont think its objectibly noisy, not compared to DG, and Cobra, and other FMF pipes. if you buy this pipe it comes with 9 discs, the spark arrestor, and a quiet core. i wanted a quiet exhaust so i wanted a tunable one. i didnt like the sound of my exhaust with the quiet core on it. it sounded stuffed up even more than the stocker. after 9 months the bolts on the end cap do rust, but it is holding up great. hope this helps.
