white bros vs fmf for 400ex
#1
hey all, i posted the same topic in the honda forum figuring " hey im putting this on a 400ex, so i should put it in the honda forum". well anyways i put it on last night and i need answer's quick and i figure if i post here ill get a quicker response cause no one has replied in the honda forum. alright here it goes. im getting my 2003 400ex from the local dealer this week or this weekend. i was planning on getting a full system until i came down off of my little " i have alot of money " high and realized " hey im only 15 and i have no money " lol. so i found a white bros e series slip on on ebay for about 235 shipped, and my step grampa can get me the new mx 4 for about 230 shipped. also a few people told me the fmf powercore 4 works really good on a 400ex. i was wondering between the mx 4, e series, and the powercore 4 in what order they rank in power, and loudness. also i ride tight trails, fire roads, roads, fields, a little mx at my friends , and i love to hit jumps, and also occasional dragging with the buddies. < dont know if that was needed but figured id tell you where i ride so you've got more info to give me a better suggestion. other mods i plan on doing when i get my pipe are a white bros rev box, dyno jet kit, and either a uni or k&n fiter system. thanks for any help its really appreciated

I have heard good things about the powercore. I just picked up an e-series though for cheap money and I hear they sound great. I know tis doesn't help much but with all things being equal (prices that is) the powercore would probably be your best bet.

check out this review I found that ATV Connection did on the FMF. Maybe it will help you decide further.
