V-FORCE JETTING
#1
I just put in a set of V-Force reeds and cages in my banshee. With my motor mods shown below and stock carbs I was running 300 mains. When I would get on the gas the motor would go flat. It wouls sound and run like it was dead. I slapped in 290 mains and it cleared up and ran like a champ. My problem is when I ran the 290 mains in the summer it was severly overheating. Did anyone of you have to lower your jetting when you put in the V-Force reeds? I do have them set to the high side. I figure that they were allowing more fuel in and it was causing a too rich condition. Just wanted to see what you all have ran in to! THANX

The v-force reeds do allow more flow which equals
more fuel being pulled in. You may need to drop your jetting as you did, just make sure you do your plug checks. Sounds like your "hot" running motor in the summer is because its hot outside.
The heat actually makes the jetting "fatter"...

i installed deltas this summer also i run at around 800ft above sea level. i have pipes, toomey two into one air, port job and on and on but i was jetted with 290s before the deltas and figured i would have to jump way up on my mains however that was not the case for me.i went all the way up to 330s andmy bike just went flat on top.i ended up all the way back down to my 290s plug color is dead on and the will fly.it seems to me that the better flo of the deltas just let everything work more fuel an air with what i had .

Good lord that banshee hauls !! I love the looks of those sand bikes. Mine sounded fine on the stand. Super crisp throttle response. When I took it off the stand and rode it around the block is where I came into problems. It would take off and run great and crispy on bottom. From mid and up it was just flat sounding and running. I had a MX race the next day and it was already gettin dark out so I went to playing the jet game. I sat and thought for a minute. Since throttle and power on bottom was spot on it had to be main or the needle. I went straight to the main. I had 300 mains in it running straight VP-C12 in Texas with the setup below. I dropped it down to 290 which is what LRD sent out with their pipes. It ran sweet. I have to say that V-Force reed cages are no joke. The do improve things. I got both holeshots sunday. I didnt win the race (out of shape!) but it ran like a demon. Thank for the help. You have some great looking banshee! LATER
