Default Drawings or design plans for X-haust pipes pls!

Hi!
I'm in the process of designing and developing performance pipes for 2 & 4 stroke bikes. ATV and scrambler.
I'd like any form of info relating to this project.
Drawings, jetting specs, anything is welcomed!
I'm working from some performance pipes currently but would prefer to do my own designs & research.
I'm mainly working with mild steel sheet metal, aluminium at a later stage...
My mail is...
mbjones@distell.co.za.
Regards from South Africa.

Hi there!
And I was all excited to see a reply!!!
Trust me, it will be good.
My concept is more of a form-follows-function idea.
Here in sunny SA, many riders want something that looks good. Sadly, I've experienced pipes & jet kits that don't match up to stock items...And these guys are paying up to $600 - 700 per setup. Shocking!!!
I'm aware of the fact that there is more to just putting on a pipe and riding off into the sunset.
I'm in collaborration with a designer here in Johannesburg. We're looking at doing a full kit. From airfilter thru to tail piece. Our main ideal is to work around the stock motor and bolt on some extra oomf. Most people here don't want to open their motors and we'd like to primarily appeal to that market.
Don't get me wrong, there are many hot bikes running around here, but most have been set up by tuning shops...anything from $1000 upwards.
Ultimatly I'm looking at supplying the DIY guy that has some knowledge of bikes.
Thanks for your reply!!!
Have a good one!!!
Benjamin.

I'm no expert ,but it takes alot of knowledge to design a exhaust system for a two-stroke. I'm not saying you can't do it, just that you need more than drawings to make them. Plan on doing alot of research, the information is on the internet you just have to find it. Iwould check out Macdizzies site to start your education. Here is a link Macdizzy

Hi there!
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
I'm aware of the pitfalls of design and hope to learn from other's mistakes.
My partner has over 20 year's experience, but mostly two wheelers, on / off-road, two and four strokers. Quads is totally new to him.
Have a good one!
