what can i do to my blaster to get more power

reeds, tires, 14 tooth sprocket, pipes of course, & getting rid of unneeded weight.
getting your engine ported & polished is also good but will cost alot more that something like a sprocket. changing the piston and/or shaving the head is another way to get more power.
the biggest thing you can do is get it bored out.

98 Blaster.
First let's talk about priorities...in my opinion,(& many others more knowledgable) you first should think about upgrading your suspension in order to utilize any engine upgrade. doing it the other way around may give you more speed, but it's often in the ambulance on the way to the hospital:-(.Most stock suspension on stock machines are just barely adequate for the stock machine, and increasing engine performance first often will send you over the bars or bicycling thru the corners...exciting!.
That being said there are any number of companies able to speed you up and slim you down (in your wallet), Duncan Racing, CT Racing, Curtis Sparks Racing, to name a few. They offer engine kits ranging from $800 to $1900, so the bottom line is..how fast can you afford to go?

The Blaster engine responds well to upgrades. The stock setup on the reed valve is very restrictive, and you can either go with a Rad or Ram valve to liven it up, or do like I did on my machine. I put Boyesen Pro-Series reeds in the stock cage and added a Pro Design aluminum intake. Seat of the pants tells me that it is a better mod than the Ram and Rad valves. Next, change the stock air filter over to a K&N--they're a little pricey, but worth every penny. The next obvious step would be a pipe. FMF makes an excellent pipe, and contrary to popular belief, the DG pipe is also a pretty good performer. These mods are all easy and relatively inexpensive and will make a HUGE improvement over your stock bike. Now open the wallet wide for the chassis upgrades!!!
