MUDDING with a 06 RUBICON
#1
Any recommendations for a clutch spring kit on a 06 rubicon 500? I noticed when I get into DEEP mud my engine rpms get kinda low , Even in low gear .(deep mud by my house is only @ 2 feet or so)and I know this is only a PUDDLE to some of you !LOL ! . Sometimes it worrys me because I dont think the tires are going to keep me spining . I know that EPI makes a HIGH STALL , a performance and a economy kit ,but I not sure which one to get. I already have 26inch MUDLITE XL's .I plan on adding a hmf ,K&N and a jet kit also. ANY other advice would be appreciated.

Well here's what I would do, go buy a HotCam. When they changed the sytle of the rubicon's they changed cams. EPA crap. For get about the K&N and get a uni or a twin air air filter. Order a vacum spring out of a 450 foreman, any year should do, or cut off 6 coils. A good quailty exhaust.
I built mine, polished head, Web Cam, Pro Curcit exhaust, Twin Air air filter, and 450 foreman vacum slide spring. @ size bigger pilot and shimed jet needle hieght. Works good but sucks gas. Also clutch stall kit, 500rpms over stock.

Thanks ! I did put the K&N in it and chopped the stock carb spring @10 coils . I also started to shift manually with the es. It made a very noticable difference. I dont know if I'm going to do the cam yet .I don't want to void the factory warranty ,,,,,,,,,YET !
