I read a post about a months ago about how hot the headpipe on a Banshie got, well I finally remembered to check the temps on one of my quads last night(stock Timberwolf with K&N filter). All temps were measured with an infared temperature gun, the air temp was 65 degrees and I had ridden for about 5 miles. The head pipe was 840 at the head, head pipe at 24" was 470,midsection of muffer was 275,end cap of muffler was 211, inside of muffler was 320,middle of cylinder at sparkplug location was 282,sidecase was 142, oil temp. was 218 and rearend temp. was 90 degrees, yea, I know I was bored!!
