how do i remove the Governor(speed restrictor)?

Default how do i remove the Governor(speed restrictor)?

Im kind of new to atvs, i mostly just know their names and just like to ride them, but ive heard about the governor or speed restrictor i heard that if you take it off it should make your atv go faster i was wondering if anybody knew were it was located and how to take it off?

i am not aware of any restrictors on ATV's.

Never heard of such but what year make and model. Under 110 CC maybe?

I am not sure if this would apply in your case .
But in the late 60's in some States permitted 15 year olds to ride but there was a restrictor on the throttle . It was located above the slide where the throttle cable is connected under the screw cap of the carb.
What the dealer would do is cut a slide barrel to a specific length and place it between the spring above the carb slide so it would stop the carb slide from opening full bore.

Not sure if this applys that is the only thing I remember and it was an easy fix to prevent the machine to do its full potential.

suzuki lt50 and 80's have restricters in the header and the intake...not sure if yours does... what is it?suz handa yamaha kawasaki?
