I am revisiting the twist throttle issue. I plan on adding one to mine in the future. From what I have been told, when you replace the old thumb throttle, the TORS gets disabled and the system becomes dead weight on the bike. The issue at hand is the idle screws that reside in the TORS assembly have to be moved to the carb as in all other Yamahas. As a result the carbs have to be drilled and tapped to accomodate the change. I am curious as to the level of success anyone has had either doing it themselves or having a shop doing it. Thanks for any feedback.

I brought mine to a shop to have it installed when I went out of town to do a job. When my dad picked it up and brought it home I noticed that the TORS where not taken off, and to top it off it ran real bad. Apparently they switched the carb slides and that was causing the problem.

Should have done it myself.
