i have a kawasaki mojave 250. it is bored .20 over with a wiseco piston, Dg pipe, K&N filter and a Lectron 38mm Carb. My sprockets are stock. my cams are stock

here is the prob: i have to make my quad faster than a 300ex with a .20 over wiseco piston, IDS 2 exaust, K&N filter (Jet kit in stock carb) and probly a web cam sprockets are 1 bigger than stock in front and 2 smaller than stock on back.

Anyones assistance on giving my Mojave go...pls respond with your mod. suggestions this is a very important point to prove!!! thanks!

 

Get some cams, they are the heart of a 4 stroke and will probably make the biggest difference.. Call TC..

Are we talking about top end here? You could change you gearing to get more top end also... I see the 300EX did this, so tht will help you also...

Plus, I have never been fond of DG anything.. When you call TC about the carbs, get one of his exhausts also!!!

yeah were talking about top end. the dG was on it when i got it. i wanna get an IDS2. i also thought about an unlimited REV CDI from trinity Racing, do you think thats a good idea? i also can ditch the steel rims for aluminum for more acceleration!

im a honda guy but i got a good deal on the Mojo so until i get more $$ it will have to do!!

 

I am not sure but the stock kawisaki wheels are aluminum right?I thought they where.NAyway my couisn won't tell me what he did but he is still running stock exhaust on his mojave and it beats warrior's 300ex's lots of stuff.I know that is bored wiuth wiseco piston'swbe cam and a valve job but other than that I don't know!

 

Getting new wheels will save you some weight...

The CDI Box is a good idea also.... On the pipe subject though, I would call TC.. Also, i would call TC about some cams too...

But I wouldn't sell it to get a 300Ex, but I would sell it to get a 250X!!! Actually I like the Mojaves(i used ot have one), but there are a little heavy and I dont really care for the suspension.. But they are a great recreation quad!( not dis'n your ride, I do like the Mojaves!)

If I were you, i would get some cams, pipe, gearing, and some Douglas .190's, and a Barrnett Clutch.. Go from there and see how those work...

A Mojave should run equal to if not beat a 300EX if both are stock or have similar mods!!

TC builds racing engines. They are out of Warren, PA. A few years ago the built engine for Travis Spader when he ran 250X's for TT and I think MX.. They hae quite a few Championships under their belts and they do great work!!!

I dont have their number on me at the moment, bu they are in the back of either Dirtwheels or 4Wheel Action!!!(in the small ad Merchant section)

dude, this may sound dumb our out of the question (i thought it too AT FIRST) but put a Ninja engine in it, my friend did that, took me and him abuot one night (10:30-3:00 in the morning) but it turned out awesome and he beats 300exs like theyre standin still (not to mention the rest of the quads he can outrun) i know it sounds crazy,but its just as good s the 350c/250x conversion

 

or u could do what a buddy of mine did was put a kx 500 dirt bike motor in a mojave frame and that thing is wicked
