coolhead on a banshe....the dome orings busted in the exact same spot
#1
i noticed my bike was running really hot, the coolant hoses were extremely tight from pressure(not normally like that on my bikes) i pulled the head off to check for bad orings,
i found that both dome orings had busted at the top(carb side) each in the same spot, i was wondering what can be the cause of this . the impeller works great, there were no holes in the dome walls or anything like that, i dont believe i pinched the orings when i put the head on b/c it has been a good while since i have put it on, i've rode many times since. i use the brown orings there also. can anyone help?

Maybe if you were nice and apologized to Charlie Ohton for dragging his name and business through the mud, he might be able to tell you what the problem is...wiseguy.

well, in my posts about that, i did say NO OFFENSE, now whether you guys got offended or not is(and i'm sorry to say) not my problem. ok i have nothing against charlie or any of his customers, obviously u being one of them BansheePete, but i was just giving my 2cents to the guy who had created that particular forum...now if i cant speak my mind then why can everyone else who claims they have blasters that run 100mph? now i am sorry if u guys got a problem with but i cant help ya. if u wanna be immature and 'drag' this thing on and on and on and yet again on and on...well so be it, wont bother me any! now PEACE!

Have you checked the radiator and had it flushed? Deposits can clog the internals of the rad, possibly causing the high pressure. Even if this is not the problem, it is simple to do and will help with cooling efficiency. Hope this helps...
