Does anybody know what size jets come with the Toomey jet kit?? Is it worth the $60 to buy it if I have a mildly ported motor? Or should I just buy my own jets and needles? Thanx for any help.

 

Toomey buys Dynojets that they've found work well with their pipes. I've got both and the throttle response is awesome. The most expensive item are the needles. If you've already got your pilot and main where you want them and the throttle response is good, it's probably not worth it. If you've only messed with the main and the response isn't what you'd like, it probably is.

 

I got the Toomey jet kit with my T-5's. It came with 280's and 290's(higher altitudes). Also included were needles from dyno-jet(which Toomey claims that you can only get through Toomey), 12 air box vents, and a uni-filter. I am extremely happy with the results.

You are better off buying one of the kits available. The length and taper of the needle is where it's at. It makes for a SMOOTH transition from part throttle to full. It will take you forever to find the right combo on your own.
I bought a needle/jet kit, along with my pipe kit from LRD.If I remember correctly, it was about half the cost of the DynoJet kit.
It might be worth giving them a call.

 

i had toomeys pro rider kit on mine, and the jetting they sent me were perfect. Toomey does a lot of research on their products and u can always bet that they know exactly what their talking about.
